Greeting Cards with Musical QR Codes
What if a greeting card could be much more then a meaningful message from a loved one? What if the message could then encompass technology and tie in a modern-day mixtape to go with the words, and now add music with the message. The team over at Stupid have created Playlist Cards for the technologically inclined to make that opportunity a reality.
Stupid, a collection of “young creative’s who want to work on interesting and challenging projects”, have created a series of greeting cards that come designed with an oversized QR code. One would think that a QR code on the front of a card may reduce the aesthetic appeal of designs, but the Stupid team does a great job at dressing up each card to keep the whimsy one typical obtains when sending a traditional illustrative notecard.
The customized and artistic QR codes (they call them QR Images) that when scanned, take the user to a specific playlist on Spotify. This requires both the receiver and sender to be Spotify Premium users in order to take advantage of the true magic of these new-millennium mix-tapes.
