Instaprint: Modern Day Photo Booth for Instagram

instaprint

Nostalgia has been a great business opportunity for many new businesses – with Instagram taking full advantage of it through its filter effects and photo sharing, Polaroid-esque platform. But there still is a need for us to hold those square Polariod prints and keep them forever. Instaprint is the most creative use of the Instagram platform that combines the fun and photo-creation abilities of the application but lets you print them on location.

The Instaprint is a location based photo booth that can be installed at parties and events to automatically produce inkless photo prints from Instagram that have a specific hashtag or based on specifically stated locations. Using ZINK technology that pulls color from the paper itself, the Instaprint box requires a WiFi network, a user account and people tagging Instagram pics for it to work – that’s it. This modern day prototype photo booth has already been seen at numerous events including the Grammys and Lady Gaga concerts and now the creators, BREAKFAST, want to produce on a mass-scale.

Instaprint has recently gone from prototype to a Kickstarter campaign and is hoping to raise $500,000 to mass-produce the product. Would you want an Instaprint in your home, or are you business owner that thinks putting the Instagram printer in your establishment will encourage social engagement? Let us know if you think this could work as a mass-produced product and how?

Whew! for a second I thought Facebook entered the hardware space via their new company instagram.
Mark Zucherburg is too dumb to give away 900 million free phones and instantly change the game again.

mm mm ho ho  ha ha ha ha haaaa! (mad scientist laugh)..  the social sword in the stone…..

This actually came out prior to the Facebook purchase, but could you imagine if they had built this? An Instaprint hardware would find its way into everyone’s home
