CardFlick, founded by Ketan Anjaria, is an app that will be coming to your iPhone and Android which will allow you to create and share digital business cards. Entrepreneurs, business owners and those looking to leave a first impression have left behind their traditional / tangible presence in card form for many years. CardFlick lets you develop your business card presence in a digital format that you can then share with others that have downloaded the app or via email. The idea of digital business cards is not new, but the opportunity to share your professional information with those in close proximity is an exciting concept.
With Cardflick you make a swiping motion on your screen and send your card spinning off of the screen. Your target sees it arrive on their phone. Once they accept your card, it is added to their contact list. Now it’s searchable, sortable, metadata empowered, and whenever you change your card your contact information stays current. We automatically add where and when you received the card, so you connect the name to the face to the card.
The app comes with gorgeous, pre-created themes, which allows you to always keep your contact info up to date and leave a strong digital first impression with those you wish to leave your Cardflick card with. Personal branding is as, if not more, important than ever before – Cardflick helps you get remembered when meeting people and still have the ease of an online exchange of contact information.
CardFlick will let you upload your professional contact information manually through the apps interface or by connecting into your Facebook account. Once your digital card is developed, you can then share your digital card presence via email or with other CardFlick app owners when at networking events. Once you share your CardFlick card with others, that information will then update on the mobile devices of those that you’ve shared your information with any time you update your own card.
Your business card and those you collect from others can be easily swiped through within a very easy to use and beautiful interface. While you can pass exchange your business card by ‘flicking’ up on your mobile to pass your personal brand to others. CardFlick can be an interesting and useful app for networking events when it comes out of private beta.
