Relay Network is a Mobile Engagement Automation Solution that enables businesses to deliver individualized, real-time service messaging that simplifies and improves the customer experience. We give enterprise businesses the power to digitize, orchestrate, and automate customer engagement on their own branded and secure mobile messaging channel. Leading organizations including Comcast, Independence Blue Cross, and Citizens Bank use Relay – a 2017 Gartner Cool Vendor – to increase customer retention, improve outcomes, and reduce costs.

Let us know a bit about your team, who are the key team members and what is their role?
Relay’s leadership team has successfully managed and grown Philadelphia area startups for the past two decades. Matt Gillin, his brother Steve, and Paul Raden founded Ecount in 1997 and sold it successfully in 2007 for $200M. The team has lead two successful rounds of financing at Relay, resulting in $28M in funding from premier VCs, strategic partners and several well-known Silicon Valley family offices. Relay’s existing leadership team recently expanded to include Steve Higgins (CTO) and Lisa Guillaume (CPO) both of whom bring decades of relevant leadership experience to their respective departments.
Why did you choose this particular idea and concept to build your startup on?
Currently, businesses can not meet their customer engagement and experience goals because existing digital communication channels prevent them from delivering individualized, proactive service messaging at scale. The result is customers who are less educated, more costly to serve, and more likely to churn. This ultimately puts massive amounts of revenue at stake and leaves companies more susceptible to newer companies. To help enterprises adapt to increasingly demanding customer expectations for easy and straightforward experiences, Relay offers a new solution built around the delivery of proactive and individualized mobile communications that increase customer engagement and pull them through important lifecycle events.
