Here are some of the most useful design tools and service providers that can help lift you startup off the ground with a strong brand and design foundation.

Feel free to comment to this post and let us know how you feel these tools are or are not helping. And please do share other tools that you may think will be useful to others.

Brands for the People – Logo and Branding

Brands for the People: We’ve trimmed the fat associated with branding agencies and built our business online. Our software platform matches startups with rock star designers so that small businesses can afford to buy brands not logo designs. We believe logo is a four letter word, which is why we’ve developed a series of strategic online resources freely available. Our process is for startups serious about standing out from the crowd and bringing Good into the world. We are called Brands for the people because that is what we stand for.

Domainr – Name Generation

Domainr also supports non-Latin internationalized domain names, so you can enter characters with accents or other diacritics, and even scripts such as Arabic, Hebrew, Chinese, Japanese and Hindi. If you’re looking to set up a URL shortener, we recommend Bitly.

Kuler – Branding
