Homeppl: The Worlds First Digital Rental Resume

April 25, 2016 by Tim

Last Updated on April 25, 2016 by Tim

Let’s meet Startup, Homeppl:

Website: www.homeppl.com

In a few sentences, tell us what your start-up is all about!:

Homeppl is the world’s first digital rental resume. Tenants can finally aggregate their reputation, and leverage it to apply to any property anywhere around the world, irrespective of their origin. Landlords can finally choose top tenants based on real rental data. Homeppl is a complementary service to any property stock web page, including portals, classified ads, and agencies.

When was your startup founded? And what stage is your startup currently at?:

2015, public beta

Let us know a bit about your team, who are the key team members and what is their role?:

Alexander Siedes – CEO
Ohad Shalev – CPO
Elran Kadosh – CTO

Why did you choose this particular idea and concept to build your start-up on?:

As renters, we spent a lot of money on expensive credit checks, and background check.

We also had to compete a lot of candidates when applying to property.

We learned that every year $4.5bn is spent on credit checks on 150m renters (OECD countries)

While 60% of landlords report problems collecting rent. that is a major pain.

Our solution is social data-driven credit score for the rentals market.

Do you have any customer feedback on your product and/or service that you could share?:

“such great product it helped me get my first apt.
great customer service!”
“Very good idea, we are so tired of printing papers for landlords… It’a about the time!”
“I will definitely use this product to find my new tenant ( yes, I am a landlord and tenant both). Which brings up an interesting question? Can I be a registered as a landlord and a tenant. I have a house in my home country which I rent, but I live in US as a tenant. ? I tried, and it either allows to be registered as a tenant or a owner, not both!”
“Wow, cool idea! I could use it a lot :)”
“Really cool product, I can’t believe something like this hasn’t existed before. It provides real value to both parties. Love the design as well.”
“Fantastic. I was speaking with a colleague last week about how the world needs a service like this. Huge inefficiencies to solve. I’m not an early adopter type, but I’ll use this as soon as it hits mass. Best of luck. Looks good so far, keep up the great work.”
